The construction of new built holiday homes in Spain is of 150.000 units a year - 26, 7% of the total of new built Spanish properties. Four out of ten are bought by foreigners.
Developers building on the Spanish coasts are very optimistic according to the evolution of the market. Thanks to the strong activity registered from 1998 in the 136 coastal municipalities the number of properties is already larger than 1.2 million, according to the director of operations of Group i, Raul García.
