General Málaga airport information
The Málaga airport is only 8 kilometres from the capital and has a perfect communication to the whole Costa del Sol. It connects daily with seventeen Spanish cities, more than sixty European capital cities and some destinations in Africa.
At the present time, the airport in Málaga is being expanded. The extension works that are being carried out will duplicate their operational capacity in 2010. There will be a new terminal of passengers in 2009, a second runway in 2010 and underground metro station to Málaga and neighbourhoods and, later, a connection to the fast train, AVE, that connects to main Spanish cities.
